Doubt

Doubt

Has someone ever told you something that made you have doubts about who you are? For instance, you are too mean, you are always doing too much,  etc. Remember to know who you are in Christ! Each of us may be a lot of things but who gives someone else the right to judge you? There’s a difference between good criticism and just being downright mean or judgmental. The power of life and death is in the tongue, people who love and care about you should be speaking life your way and not death. Make sure you are around people who really value and love who you are. The Bible says:

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?  How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.” ~Matthew 7:1-5~

Although everyone may not remember the scripture or concept above it is your job to cast down any negativity that people may send your way. It is not your job to please man. Is it our jobs to do what is pleasing to GOD! The bible says it is impossible to please GOD without faith (Hebrews 11:6). We must have faith in what GOD says about us. We are each made in his image; fearfully and wonderfully made! Don’t let any words someone has to say about you interfere with your day or life. People are people and although at times they think they are helping, the truth is they may not be. We must stay encouraged and in the word of GOD. If someone is continuously saying negative things, I encourage you to take inventory, to really see if the pros outweigh the cons. Sometimes we hold onto the very things that GOD wants us to let go! We must trust in him and pray for guidance. Just because you make a decision to remove someone out of your life doesn’t mean you love them any less. It just simply means that you love yourself more 🙂 In 2015 I encourage each of you to think positive thoughts on purpose, to be kind on purpose, and love yourself and others on PURPOSE! Until next time 🙂
